Group & School Visits

Group Visits (20 People or More)

Group rates are available for groups of 20 or more - $4.50 plus tax per adult, $3.50 plus tax per child (ages 3 to 12), free for children aged 2 and under. Two weeks' notice is required to book. Booking Information

To ensure an easy Zoo check-in on the day of your visit, we highly encourage groups to contact us at least two weeks in advance. This is particularly helpful during the bust fieldtrip seasons of April/May and September/October. To book your group visit, call 785-587-2737.

School & Non-Profit Group Visits

Inside Manhattan

Applies to all USD 383 schools, Kansas State University, or any Manhattan 501c3 non-profit organization. If your group is associated with a Manhattan non-profit that is not USD 383 or KSU, a copy or your current 501c3 Letter of Determination from the IRS must be on file with the Zoo to receive group admission.

With 2 Weeks or More Advanced Notice

Students: Free
Adults: One chaperoning adult per every five students is admitted free. Additional adult admission rate is $9.00 plus tax, Friends of Sunset Zoo memberships may be used.
Siblings: Siblings of children that are not registered with the school or non-profit group may also attend, however they will be charged a full price children's admission. $7.00 plus tax for ages 3 to 12, age 2 and under are free.

With Less Than 2 Weeks Advance Notice

Students: $3.50 each
Adults: One chaperoning adult per every five students is $9.00 each. Additional adult admission rate is $6 plus tax, Friends of Sunset Zoo memberships may be used.
Siblings: Siblings of children that are not registered with the school or non-profit group may also attend at regular full price children's admission, $7.00 plus tax for ages 3 to 12, aged 2 and under if free. Friends of Sunset Zoo memberships may be used.

Outside Manhattan

Applies to all schools or 501c3 non-profits outside of Manhattan city limits. A current IRS Letter of Determination must be on file with the Zoo to receive group admission rates.
Students: $3.50 each

For designated special needs groups, allowances will be made for the ratio of adults per students admitted under the free/discounted group admission rate.

Military Groups

Military group (spouse gatherings, unit gatherings, etc.) rates are available for groups of 20 people or more - $4.50 per adult, $3.50 per child (ages 3 to 12 years), free for children aged 2 and under. Two weeks advance notice is required.

Group rates only cover general admission into Sunset Zoo, this does not include programming or event space.
