Youth Dance

Classes are for beginning students and use basic dance steps and choreography to help children develop and improve their poise, flexibility, grace, self-discipline, and posture. Students are introduced to basic beginning techniques and vocabulary. You may enroll in more than one class. Classes have a maximum of 10-15 students.

TapAges 6 to 16Tap is a form of dance that uses the tap shoes striking the floor to make a percussive sound. Students will develop and improve flexibility, balance, technique, musicality, and learn tap terminology.Wednesdays from 2/4 to 4/8 at Anthony Recreation Center

Hip-HopAges 6 to 16This class introduces students to the basic concepts of hip hop dance and culture. Students will develop and improve flexibility and technique while learning several different dance combos. Wednesdays from 2/4 to 4/8 at Douglass Activity Center

Combos ClassAges 7 to 8This class introduces dancers to a variety of styles, including ballet, jazz, and hip-hop. Each class focuses on building foundational skills, coordination, and confidence through exercises and routines. These classes foster teamwork and self-expression while ensuring a joyful learning experience. Mondays from 2/2 to 4/6 at Anthony Recreation Center

Leaps & TurnsAges 11 to 17This intensive program merges ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary styles, challenging dancers to master advanced techniques and choreography. Students will enhance their artistry, performance quality, and musicality while working collaboratively on creative routines. Ideal for dedicated dancers ready to push their limits and express themselves, these classes provide a dynamic environment to grow as artists and performers.Thursdays from 2/5 to 4/9 at Anthony Recreation Center

Dance Showcase: TBD

Students will be instructed on proper attire at their first class meeting. Students in Ballet will wear ballet slippers. Students in Pre-Ballet may wear ballet slippers or socks. Tap students will need to wear tap shoes. All other students should wear tennis shoes and socks to their first class session.
